It's no secret that Barcelona is my second favorite European destination after Paris. I've been to Barcelona many times and it truly never gets old! I'm so in love with the city - the vibe, the people, the architecture, the food, the language - everything😍🙌

Which is why when I wanted to go for a little weekend getaway before Christmas madness together with my bestie to celebrate both of our birthdays, Barcelona was an obvious choice. Especially when the weather forecast promised +20℃ sunny days!

Since we were only in the city for 3 days, where we stay played a huge role. I believe I know Barcelona quite well already, at least I know what all my favorite areas are and where my favorite restaurants and shops are located at😜 So naturally, I wanted us to stay at the best location, close to all my beloved places and to the sea, which is why our hotel of choice for this trip was Hotel Arts Barcelona.

I kid you not when I say that this was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had! Firstly, the hotel has the most amazing everywhere with aromatic candles and home perfumes and for a total home perfume lover like myself, this was the best first touch. In addition, all the guests are welcomed with a glass of bubbly which makes the arrival really nice👌 Secondly, we were upgraded to an Executive Suite situated on the 25th floor overlooking the city, which was absolutely magical. And if that wasn't enough, one of the girls from the hotel staff found out that we're both Instagrammers and so she made us a card with all the best Insta spots in Barcelona which was the most thoughtful and beautiful gesture!

Now about the hotel itself, it is part of the Ritz-Carlton hotel group which is naturally known for their high standard and luxury hotel experience. And Arts Hotel was no exception! Every detail was paid attention to from the necessities in the room, to the most delicious food at breakfast to the absolutely wonderful beds where I slept like a baby (and if you're a regular reader, you know that I don't normally sleep very well at hotels). The hotel had several boutiques and restaurants in it for you to enjoy your stay and a spa at the top floor for a relaxing holiday.

It's no secret that I am a total sunset / sunrise lover and I tell you this - Hotel Arts does not disappoint in that department! You should see my camera roll haha😅 From the beautiful front view to the sunrise over the sea by the pool area to the absolutely breath-taking view to the sunset over the city from the spa area on the 43rd floor, the hotel offers a 360° experience over Barcelona any time of the day.

In conclusion I think it's needless to say that we had a wonderful time in Barcelona and staying at Hotel Arts was the cherry on top to our girls weekend💕 And I really-really want to visit it again in the summer time!
