I believe it's no surprise to any of you that polka dots are THE THING this spring. Now, generally speaking I'm not a huge of a fan of the polka dot print but some dots here and there, dressed down with a other pieces of clothing and accessories are something I can adopt into my wardrobe😊 Especially when I get loads of inspiration from the SS18 runway shows and a total polka dot overdose from my beloved designers like Dior, Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana and Balenciaga to name a few.
Obviously, when such big fashion houses showcase polka dots in their collections, you can see it becoming a trend and believe me - polka dots are having a major moment this spring! But it certainly is a playful print and can make you look like an eight-year-old. And I admit there were moments when I felt like I was out wearing pyjama pants haha🙈 So it definitely is something for the people with bolder and outgoing sense of style.
However, when opting for dots in a monochrome palette, you can adopt it into your everyday outfits and create super stylish spring-summer looks! For that, choose polka dot dresses, that are super timeless and versatile and work for any occasion from office and off-duty to wedding season and summer parties. Or why not update your outfit with a polka dot top that look super cool with jeans and ankle boots or espadrilles and shots during hotter summer days. I'm more of a trouser-wearer myself so these pants got my attention, but what about you - how are you planning on integrating polka dots into your wardrobe?😊
