As always, before going on a trip (especially to a new location) I like to google around a bit in advance and educate myself on the area etc. Although Rome is a wonderful destination on its own, we didn't want this to be only a city trip and so decided to spend a few days by the sea as well. After reading about and comparing different near-by villages by the sea I discovered Sperlonga - a cute little town in between Rome and Napoli. And in this town there was Aurora Hotel & Suites at the beach, right in the center of Sperlonga where we stayed for 2 nights.
I'm obsessed with everything related to balcony decor and flowers right now as I'm sure you know already by now if you follow me on Instagram. So needless to say I was in heaven by the hotel's beautiful garden and all its balconies😍 Got so much inspiration and I think the outdoor decor added so much to Aurora hotel, making it super cozy and welcoming and truly relaxing.
Another thing I really liked at the hotel was the food. The breakfast area had such a vast selection of fresh food to choose from and milk options for coffee!! If you've been to Italy and can't drink dairy I'm sure you know what I'm talking about - it is pretty much impossible to find any cafes that offer plant based milks for your coffee, but right here in this little Italian town of Sperlonga I got the best cappuccino with almond milk every morning which was the best way to start the day👌
We liked to end our days watching the sunset while eating some snack and having a glass of wine at the hotel's Nautilus Bar which seriously had the prettiest view to the city, the beach and the sunset behind the mountains so it was a true bliss.
On the downside I can only add that the interior of the rooms was a bit dated for my personal taste and sadly there was no possibility to iron our clothes in the hotel, which made it a bit hard to get our clothes unwrinkly. But other than that Aurora Hotel & Suits was a perfect little stop in between our Rome trip and Sperlonga is such a beautiful little town to pass by when going on a roadtrip around Italy😉
Thank you Kristjaana.
