You know what they say - good things take time. And boy has it taken a long time to finally get our closet room all furnished and ready. A year to be exact haha! So let's get back to the beginning and start from there.

When we bought this 4-room apartment, we actually only needed 3 rooms, because one for us and one for Thor obviously, and were not planning on having another kid soon. So for the 4th room I only knew two things that I wanted to have inside - a closet for my clothes and a palm leaf wallpaper🙈 That's exactly what we got and so the rest of the room stayed more or less empty for the whole time - it was just some place to iron and dry our clothes lol. Probably because of the reason we didn't really know what to do with it, we didn't rush on getting it furnished either.

At one point I decided to make this room into my home office and I was pinning inspo every free second and had it all figured out. But right before actually starting to buy all the necessary furniture I realised that who am I kidding - I'm not going to work in that room, I don't need an office. I love working from behind our dining table and I don't want to be in a small room doing the same thing. So there goes that idea!

Fast forward to the beginning of this year, I finally figured out what I wanted this room to be - a dressing room. As simple as that. A beautiful room for all my clothes and stuff, where I can have a great time putting my outfits together and just chill. And what's a better chill out vibe than a bohemian / jungle interior with lots of natural colors, materials and accents, right?!

Speaking of which, finding all sorts of wooden / rattan / linen furniture and accessories is super easy right now and interior stores have lots of beautiful options. But finding beautiful and high quality lighting to match with the overall vibe is not that simple. Especially for someone like me who wants their lighting to be designer, very good for the eyes, long-lasting and of course beautiful, not just some lamp you know😜

Which is why I turned to the specialists from Hektor Light (where we got our kitchen / living room lights) to help us find the best lighting options for the dressing room as well.  Luckily our search wasn't long and we found the ones we loved the most pretty quickly after seeing some options. Since the dressing room is pretty light already and doesn't require the lighting to be very bright, we had no need for the lamps to be super lightning and could just focus on the design part of it. The lamps that we went for are from a spanish brand called FM Iluminacion and the model is called Banyo. I immidiately fell in love with the fact that Banyo lamps are made of natural rope which goes really well with the overall vibe I was going for this room and so they give a perfect final touch to the whole room👌

I love-love-love how my dressing room turned out. But I'm super excited to hear your thoughts about it too! Do you like it?😊
