Let me just start off by saying that whenever you're planning on going to Biarritz (which you absolutely should, it's the loveliest little city), stay at hotel La Maison Du Lierre! You can thank me later😉

Now, I've never been a big fan of those huge, classic and somewhat boring and typical hotels. I've always loved to stay either at design hotels with great interior or at small boutique hotels. Because during your trip, hotel is a big part of it, so making sure that the hotel where you're staying at makes you feel good after a long day is crucial in my opinion.

When we started planing our trip to South of France and the cities to visit, we decided to go discover a small surf town called Biarritz at the very bottom of France on the Spanish border next to the ocean.  We didn't know much about the city nor had many expectations so we decided to stay there for 5 days and then move on to Toulouse. Had we known how wonderful Biarritz is, we definitely would have extended our stay there for 7 days and cancelled Toulouse. But that's afterwards wisdom and there's no time for regretting anything since our whole vacation was amazing😍

Back to the topic. When googling "Biarritz boutique hotels" I stumbled across La Maison Du Lierre, a small family-run hotel of only 20 rooms in the heart of Biarritz, which sounded perfect for our stay, so we booked ourselves a room there right away. The minute when we arrived to the hotel, we could feel the positive relaxed atmosphere and the whole staff was just the nicest!! The rooms on three floors have cute little balconies and there's also a garden full of greenery and lots of flowers everywhere at the front of the hotel for you to relax, read a book and enjoy your morning coffee. Can't think of a better way to chill while on vacation.

Mornings at La Maison Du Lierre start as if you're a guest at your friends place. You wake up to the smell of fresh pastries, head to the balcony where you're served with coffee, french orange juice and croissants to name a few. It's just so cosy and perfect way to enjoy your vacation - seriously feels like a true French dream. The type of feeling you can't get from a big hotel, which is especially why I suggest you to visit boutique hotels like this one when you travel!

We were so happy to stay there and didn't want to leave. Definitely going back to Biarritz in the future and most definitely staying at La Maison Du Lierre💛
