Having perfectly clear skin has never been something I've had the pleasure to experience. Ever since I was around 11 years old and got my first pimple, I've struggled with bad skin, breakouts and pores. Even now, almost 20 years later, my skin still isn't 100% perfectly clear and sometimes I feel like I'm in a never ending pubertyčśó

When I got pregnant with Thor the condition of my face skin got even worse. Probably due to my body giving all its vitamins and minerals to the baby growing inside me, even though I concentrated on what I eat really carefully. Anyway, this resulted in adult acne and some seriously deep scars on my cheeks. Not to mention the effect it had on my self confidence, cause having a bad skin isn't really a confidence booster.

During my almost-20-years of acne, I've pretty much tried and tested everything there is from different types of products to medicine to natural remedies to all sorts of facials. I've left dairy, flour and meat out of my menu and done pretty much anything just to get that beautiful clear face skin at last!

Luckily, the condition and overall look of my skin has gotten a lot better within the last year. But coming from someone who visits her cosmetologist for regular facials, face massages and micro needling 2-3 times a month, it better have some resultsčśľ But everything takes time and although the texture of my skin has improved a lot, there are still scars on my cheeks and the skin itself looks rather dull and grey.

About a month ago I heard about Akademikliniken, a skin care line from Sweden developed by plastic surgeons, dermatologists and biochemists first exclusively for the clients of Akademiekliniken, a very well respected plastic surgery clinic, which the skin care line is named after. The products developed to help patients' face skin heal faster after surgeries and laser procedures, reducing scars, repairing skin texture and slowing its aging process, caught my interest right away. Cause after all, scars and overall skin texture was exactly what I was struggling with!

In Tallinn, York Beauty salon is the official salon whose doctors and cosmetologists are educated to carry out procedures and sell the products of Akademikliniken, representing Akademikliniken Skin Care Estonia, the authorised reseller of this brand. Since I didn't know what products will be the best for my skin, I decided to first get a facial at the salon and then follow the cosmetologist's recommendations regarding face care afterwards. I went for High Tech Pure Triple Peel facial with enzyme acids, which was my first time getting an acid facial and to my surprise it was very fast, painless and super efficient. Coming from someone who goes to facials at least twice a month, the results I saw after just one treatment were amazing! My skin was radiant and pure and the texture was a lot smoother. As for the products, I was recommended to carry on my at-home skin care with three products - Pure Radiance Cleanser to wash my face with in the mornings, Cure Extra Care Cleanser to wash my face with and remove make-up in the evenings and Pure Berry Toner to use twice a day after cleaning my face.

I've now been using these products for about 3 weeks and I absolutely love the results I've had so far. It has gotten less uneven in terms of color and texture and the scars are getting less visible. My skin isn't completely pimple-free yet so I still have to continue with my monthly facials, but as for the overall texture and the condition of my skin itself, I am happy to have found the products that actually work and I'm excited to get closer to having that beautiful, radiant and perfectly clear skin I've always dreamed aboutčśŹ
