I love photography and I especially like taking photos while traveling. Not only cause the scenery is so amazing but also cause this way I can always go back to that exact trip - I just need to look at my pictures😊 But how to take good pictures and what to keep in mind in terms of travel photography? I put together my top 5 photography tips to make your next travel photos look amazing! Here's how:

1. Pick The Right Camera & Lens

Everything starts with the right equipment! Phone pictures are great for taking selfies hehe, but if you truly want your photos to look amazing, you should consider investing in a good dSLR camera. I'm a huge fan of Nikon and have been using their cameras for ages. Currently I'm using Nikon D750 camera and these photos are all taken with either a 24-70mm lens, which is great on travels or 50mm lens, that takes beautiful detail shots.

2. Plan Your Trip Ahead

Always do your homework before heading to a new location and search out beautiful places to visit ahead. Read travel guides and search Instagram or Pinterest to find the most photogenic places at the destination and write them out. This way you'll be well prepared and won't use too much of your valuable vacation time on headlessly wandering around searching for those picturesque locations.

3. Keep In Mind The Rule Of Third

This is one of the most basic photography tips on composition. The idea is to divide the photo into three horizontal and three vertical sections in your head and place the most important things on the photo on those lines (as I did on my 3rd, 5th and last photo). This way the things you'd like to highlight or focus on will be on those lines instead, for example, in the center of the photo making the whole picture look more interesting😉

4. Play With Focus & Details

Use focus to highlight the thing you want to be seen first on your photo or what is the most important part of the whole picture (for example photos 1,2 & 8). Also don't forget to focus on little details and don't just take photos on huge sceneries, but also of the small things that made it all look special!

5. Use Light In Your Advantage

Light is the most important part in taking a great photo! Always use daylight as much as possible, which means waking up early to catch the beautiful pink sunrise and staying up late to get those golden hour photos right before sunset. Those are the best hours to take photos without many people in them too😉 However, try to avoid taking pictures between 12 pm till 4 pm, since those are the hours when the sun is too high and bright and you won't get any good photos.

Siin nad on:

1. Vali Ôige kaamera ja objektiiv

KĂ”ik algab Ă”igest varustusest! Telefonipildid on kĂŒll vahvad selfiede tegemiseks hehe, kuid kui soovid, et su pildid tĂ”esti imelised vĂ€lja nĂ€eksid, siis soovitan investeerida korralikku dSLR kaamerasse. Mina isiklikult olen suur Nikoni fĂ€nn ning olen Nikoni kaameraid juba aastaid kasutanud. Hetkelgi on minu kaamera Nikon D750 ning nende piltide pildistamiseks kasutasin objektiividest kas 24-70mm objektiivi, mis on reisipildistamiseks ideaalne vĂ”i siis 50mm objektiivi, millega saab eriti hĂ€sti detailipilte teha.

3. Keskendu kolmandikureeglile

Kolmandikureegel on ĂŒks peamisi fotograafia pĂ”himĂ”tteid kompositsiooni osas. Selliselt on asjad, mida pildil rĂ”hutad vĂ”i millele fookuse sead, pigem ÀÀrtes mitte pildi keskel, muutes kogu foto huvitavamaks ning isikupĂ€rasemaks😉

5. Kasuta valgust oma kasuks Àra

Valgus on hea pildi juures kĂ”ige tĂ€htsam osa!
