How could I ever go on a trip without trying out the best food spots in town😉 So naturally I searched out some places I wanted to visit beforehand and found a lot more while we were in Puerto Rico. Here are my favorite restaurants in San Juan for a delicious breakfast, the best lunch and dinner spots and coolest places for drinks!

...Breakfast
Entering Abracadabra cafe you feel like you've stepped into Alice's Wonderland! The interior is super cool and the food is really delicious. Definitely worth visiting😉

Bistro Cafe

Located on Isla Verde's busiest street, this place is always crowded so make sure to be ready to wait in line and don't arrive too hungry hehe. But once you get the table, the foor is really good and the portions are literally huge!

Waffle-Era

Waffle-Era is a cute waffle and tea cafe where the waffles are to die for and the tea selection is really impressive. One of the best breakfast spots in Old San Juan!

Cuatro Sombras

Hands down the best coffee shop in San Juan! Cuatro Sombras is a must for all the coffee-addicts like me, who don't want to drink just any coffee but the one with the best taste😋

...Lunch & Dinner

St Germain

St.Germain cafe is a cute little corner cafe in the old town where to have lunch and dinner. Their menu is quite big and during the weekends you can enjoy delicious brunches there!

Mere Pescao

Restaurant Mere Pescao not only has a cool name (hehe😉😉) but also has a good selection of foods with fresh fish. Best place for dinner in Ocean Park!

Verde Mesa

One of the highest rated restaurants in San Juan on Yelp and Tripadvisor! They're a cute little place that serves healthy local Carribean food with lots of vegeterian options and their staff is very friendly.

La Mala Vida

Situated in the popular cafe & bar area in upper Old San Juan, La Mala Vida is a true hit among both, locals and tourists. They have a great interior and you can go there for dinner and drinks and also weekend brunches😋

...Drinks

La Factoria

La Factoria is a classic hipster bar with a cool factory-like interior. It serves only drinks and opens in the evenings - very popular on weekends!

La Taberna Lupulo

If you like beer, this place is a must! Having a selection of over 150 different beers, as well as lots of ciders, La Taberna Lupulo is a popular place for drinks. Their burgers and tacos are pretty good too😉

The Mezzanine

Situated on the second floor above St.Germain, the Mezzanine is a beautiful location for some drinks and tapas by candlelight. There's just something magical about sitting on a balcony in Old San Juan and drinking a passionfruit mojito

La Casita De Rones

The little house of rums is literally what it's name says! They carry a wide selection of rums, only from Puerto Rico, but you can find wine, beer and lots of coctails there too😉 You have to try their mahi-mahi tacos if you visit - the best thing ever!!!
